Living a healthy lifestyle can help prevent chronic diseases and long-term illnesses.
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important for your self-esteem and self-image, which will give you more confidence in yourself to proceed in any area that you want to perform.
A study of Harvard Medical School shows that people who live a healthy lifestyle live longer than those who don't.
The more important areas of a healthy lifestyle that you have to pay attention to are:
- Healthy diet
- Physical activity
- Breathing

Healthy diet: You have to pay attention to:
1)The quantity and quality of the food you intake.
I will give you some examples of foods that can give you more energy and vitality: Almonds, Avocados(they are really rich in good fats), Asparagus, Broccoli, Carrots, Celery, Cucumbers, Coconut, Dates, Limes, Figs, Green Beans, Melons, Radishes, Peppers, Spinach, Tofu, Walnuts, Wheat Grass.
Some examples of foods that you want to LIMIT the intake are:
Animal meet, Processed fats, Refined sugar, White flour, Cow's Milk, Cheese.

2)The quality of liquids that you intake.
Water is very important. Up to 60% of the human body is water.
Water is required by every cell in your body, very important for all body functions.
It helps transport nutrients and oxygen to the organs and especially to optimal function to the brain.
Don't let your body dehydrate, start your day drinking water, and avoid alcohol and sugar drinks.

Physical activity:
Physical activity is needed for 30 min.,5,6 days per week.
Give your body 1 day of rest per week, to recuperate.
Do something that you enjoy; like riding a bike, running, walking, swimming, yoga.
Next time when you see the stairs choose them not the elevator.

Regular exercise helps control weight, maintain healthy muscles and joints, reduce the risk of hard disease, diabetes.
You will feel better and increase your self-esteem.
Breathing: The quality of air that we inhale is very important.
We can live for 3 weeks without food ( Mahatma Gandhi survived without food for 21 days),3 days without water, and 3 minutes without air.
Avoid smoking. You will say that smoking calms you. And that is not accurate, What calms you is taking deep and slow breaths.
And you can do that with air instead of smoke that will kill your lungs in the process.
Sleep:
Get more sleep. When you sleep more (7-9 hours required for an adult), you will feel more rested, and ready to face the day, you will be able to concentrate better.
When you sleep your body repairs itself on a cellular level.
To help you get a well-rested sleep, your last meal has to be 2 hours before going to bed and turn off all electronic devices.
