Let's take a stay home mum who has seen on TV someone eating an apple pie. She will think about the apple pie and that the whole family loves apple pies, so she starts looking for the recipes then she will go buy the ingredients, and she will make one.
It all starts with a thought (apple pie) then the feelings ( i love apple pie and also my family) then the actions(recipes, ingredients, make one ) and in the end, she will get the result (the homemade apple pie).

Most of us go through life on autopilot. When you don't think about things, just do them, like riding a bike, driving a car, you don't have to think about that after you learn to do them, you just do.
I'm a truck driver, and sometimes when I arrive at the destination, I don't remember parts of the trip, is because I was on autopilot.
And they're the "direct" mode, which is where you're present, you're in the moment when you control what you think about.
YES, you have the choice to choose what you think about, and this skill (because is a skill), is what you want to practice and master.
This process is simple but not easy, because of the negative and limiting beliefs that you have, that are already set to your default.
These beliefs are encoded in the default network in your brain.
Everything new, what you want to start to do in your life, you're mind will immediately start to catastrophizing, and start thinking about all the reasons why it's not going to happen.

This is normal because somebody in your past trained you to think this way, or you've had bad things happen to you in the past, and you trained yourself to assume and predict that bad things are always going to happen to you.
Make no mistake about it, there will be bad things happening to you, but you cannot allow your mind to stay on default or autopilot.
You have to get out of "the comfort zone".
In the beginning, everything new you want to do, will not "FEEL" right, it will be a struggle.
Nobody who wants to lose weight "FEEL" to go on a diet or go to the gym.

If you want to change your life you will have to think more positively, more supportive.
In every area that you want to improve, the first thing you have to do is, to seat down and write your beliefs about that area.
Once you see them you know what you have to change.
Think in the past about what this belief holds you back from, and think what will be the cost if you continue to act on that belief.

For example, if you think that
"I'm too old to start a new business from scratch"
when this belief pop-up, change it with
"I have so much experience, I'm definitely going to succeed!"
You have to think positively, and nobody can do that for you.
